Sheriff Steve Moore honored the emergency services staff at Fremont Veterinary Clinic for saving the life of K9 Haakon on Dec. 31, 2014, after a suspect had critically slashed the police dog’s throat, severing a major vein.
“When he was brought in, the staff immediately took control of a chaotic situation," Moore said. "They undoubtedly saved the life of (Deputy Joshua) Stillman’s partner, Haakon.”
